Voice of The Apostles: Deceiving Spirits and Demonic Transference

The Voice of The Apostles conference 2017 was held Oct. 17-20 in Lancaster, PA. This event is where top false prophets of the NAR ordain and “anoint” their disciples. The EmergentWatch documentary video is a composite of over 8 hours of video taken during the 3 day event. In this video one can witness the demonic transference from these false “apostles”, and the demonic spiritual effect this has on their followers. These effects have been compared to those seen in occultic Kundalini awakening and the uncontrollable movements known as “Kriyas”.

There are absolutely no verses in the bible that show the Holy Spirit manifesting these physical symptoms. On the contrary, there are multiple verses in the Gospels showing demons manifesting similar symptoms – being seized by evil spirits, falling to the ground and convulsing (twitching and jerking, etc.) – See Matt. 17:15+; Luke 9:42. etc.

Applicable bible verses include:

John 16:13-14 – “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority… He will glorify Me (Jesus)…”

1Jn. 1:5 – This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

1Jn. 4:1 – “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

1Cor. 14:32-33 – “The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. For God is not the author of confusion but of peace…

Lam. 2:14 – “Your prophets have seen for you False and deceptive visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity, To bring back your captives, But have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions.”

Ezk. 22:25-28 – The conspiracy of her prophets in her midst is like a roaring lion tearing the prey; they have devoured people; they have taken treasure and precious things… like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy people, and to get dishonest gain divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD,’ when the LORD had not spoken.”

2Pet. 2:18-19 – “They speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.”

1Tim. 4:1 – “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.”

2Thes. 2:3-11 – “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day (of The Lord) will not come unless the falling away (“Apostasia“) comes first… For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work… The coming of the lawless one (Antichrist) is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie…”

Apparently not content with adult followers, these wolves want children also.

Luke 17:2 – “Better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.”

Francis Chan Endorses the Apostate NAR Movement

In his latest departure from orthodoxy, Francis Chan declares his love – not only for IHOP’s Mike Bickle (see below) – but for the entire apostate NAR movement – referring to them as simply harmless “Charismatics”.

The following video was screen captured from the Brio TV live feed of the ATD event on Saturday 10/7/17.

Speaking at the NAR event “Awaken The Dawn” on 10/7/2017 – Chan claimed that “God just revealed” to him, while backstage, his “arrogance” and need to “repent” – And, that in his arrogance, he used to teach against charismania, but that “my theology has changed over the years”, etc.”

Chan also implies that those who discern the unbiblical issues within the NAR movement are simply “arrogant” and think they “know better.”

The list of apostate NAR speakers at the ATD event includes: Heidi Baker, Lou Engle, Shawn Bolz, Todd White, Rick Pino, Nick Hall, etc.

A Brief History of Francis Chan’s departures:

2003 – Chan Invites X-Catholic speaker Mike Gendron to speak at his church, but shuts down his Q&A fearing offending Catholics. see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jo_sVyssxqk

2010- Chan speaks @ Exponential Conference alongside emergents. See http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?p=2856

2012 – Chan practices/ promotes contemplative Lectio Divina @ ??? event w/ Beth Moore & John Piper see http://apprising.org/2012/01/06/beth-moore-and-john-piper-lead-lectio-divina-lite-at-passion-2012/

2013 – Chan endorses NAR apostate Mike Bickle of IHOP at their ecumenical “one Thing” conference. See http://apprising.org/2014/01/02/francis-chan-declares-i-love-mike-bickle-of-ihop/

2015- Chan again speaks @ IHOP’s One Thing. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j31ncnro-Y4

2017 – Chan speaks at the NAR “Awaken the Dawn” event, wherein he endorses Lou Engle and the entire NAR apostate movement , referring to them as simply “Charismatics”.

Nowdays, Chan is speaking at more than a few highly questionable event. See http://www.crazylove.org/events – Events such as:

4/17- @ Exponential 2017 w/ Emergent/ contemplatives

11/17 @ False teacher Luis Palau’s event

And, he’ll be back @ IHOP in Dec. 2017 for their “One Thing” con. see http://www.ihopkc.org/onething/

NAR apologist Dr. Michael Brown to speak at Calvary Chapel affiliate

Steve Berger , pastor of the CC affiliated Grace Chapel (Franklin, TN) is at it again – Even after recently promoting the heretical NAR event “Awaken The Dawn“. [See https://emergentwatch.com/2017/08/24/calvary-chapel-affiliate-hosts-major-ecumenical-nar-event/.

Since the event at his church, Berger has continued to post promotions of the coming ATD event, as well as promotions of it’s leader – NAR man Lou Engle – on his social media pages.

Berger also recently 9/12/17) hosted a “Concert of Prayer” event, wherein his CC affiliated church partnered with the Mike Bicke’s IHOPKC affiliate NHOP – the Nashville House of Prayer.

In this clip Steve Berger does another promo for Lou Engle’s NAR “Awaken The Dawn’ event: https://www.facebook.com/mark.jefferies.3720/videos/vb.100007157913339/1939838079598104/?type=2&theater&notif_t=video_processed&notif_id=1506029400219274

Now, Berger & his church are hosting the NAR apologist, Dr. Michael Brown on Sept. 24th. Yes, the same Dr. Brown who was one of the pioneers of the demonic Brownsville “revival” movement – Who has praised NAR apostates Mike Bickle and Lou Engle as “Great men of God”. [See http://apprising.org/2014/01/14/dr-michael-brown-says-friends-mike-bickle-and-lou-engle-true-men-of-god/

Michael Brown has feigned ignorance as to what the New Apostolic Reformation is. So why does he constantly defend and endorse its major heretical leaders, many of whom he calls friends and brothers in Christ? See: https://churchwatchcentral.com/2017/01/20/michael-brown-admits-his-nar-ties-to-rick-joyner/

Yes, Michael Brown even denies the existence of the NAR, even though he is inexplicably tied with Destiny Image Publishing, which is one of the biggest New Apostolic Reformation publishing houses in the world. How to Ignore “Discernment Bloggers” and Stay Comfortably Clueless

[This is a Repost of Steve Kozar’s piratechristian.com satire of 9/14/2016]

Want to stay comfortable in your (theologically shallow & Biblically illiterate) Christian beliefs? Even if those beliefs are not really based on God’s Word?? Of course you do! Here’s a guide that will keep you in the dark, and will help you to avoid the bothersome content of whichever discernment bloggers are currently bugging you:

  1. Start with this assumption: There aren’t any false teachers. With this handy starting point everything else falls comfortably into place. Just tell yourself that people who proclaim a different Gospel are just… different. It’s like the difference between hotdogs and hamburgers. If there are no false teachers, then it logically follows that all discernment bloggers are wrong. Now you won’t have to consider what they say!
  2. Go with the group. If the majority agrees with you, you must be right. Remember, Jesus wants you to follow the most popular teachers, even when they twist the Bible. Discernment bloggers are not popular, so they must be wrong. Now you won’t have to consider what they say!
  3. Lump them all together. It’s true: some discernment bloggers are too extreme and exaggerate too much, or they go off on some crazy bunny trails; therefore you can ignore everything that every discernment blogger says (see points 1 & 2).
  4. They are mean and angry, therefore, they are wrong. If you think they’re mean and angry… well, that means they are mean and angry. Now you won’t have to consider what they say!
  5. Criticize their criticism. Discernment bloggers are not speaking in love when they call out false teachings and teachers, therefore you can ignore the actual content of what they say. Once you understand this you can freely criticize them, because it’s not unloving when you and your group does it.
  6. Say something like this: “The Holy Spirit leads me-I don’t need all this theological stuff.” Remember, the Holy Spirit leads us, but He does it by using God’s Word. So if you want to remain clueless, just focus on the thoughts that pop into your head, and avoid the Bible (and it’s theology) at all costs. If you do decide to read your Bible, make sure to avoid the actual meaning of passages, which can be determined by simply understanding the context. Instead, use your Bible like a divining rod or a crystal ball, that way the Bible will always agree with you and your ideas!
  7. Give them a label. This is a great thought-stopper. Label all discernment bloggers with a generic and meaningless label so you can comfortably ignore them.

Examples: (A) “He’s into those Christian conspiracy theories, it’s really sad.” (Never define “Christian conspiracy theory;” thus people  can be grouped together with Bigfoot hunters and UFO hobbyists.) (B) “He’s one of those judgmental, Bible-thumping Christians now. He’s a religious Pharisee; he’s always quoting Bible verses.” (Hint: never define “judgmental” or “Bible-thumping” or “religious Pharisee.” (C)“Ever since she’s been reading those discernment articles she’s gotten too negative. God’s in control, right? Why worry so much?!” (Hint: if you ever realized how brain-dead the church has become, you’d be “negative” for a while, too. So keep ignoring all the proof that surrounds you, and stay away from your Bible which repeatedly warns you to watch out for false doctrine!)

Calvary Chapel Affiliate Hosts Major Ecumenical NAR Event

In researching the upcoming NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) event – “Awakening The Dawn” (ATD) – [the latest in a series of major ecumenical NAR events, such as Together 2016 and Azusa Now etc.] – I came across a regional event being hosted by Calvary Chapel affiliate Grace Chapel, in Franklin, Tennessee, on September 2nd, 2017.

Grace Chapel is the domain of pastor Steve Berger – author of the controversial book “Have Heart” – wherein he proposes that Christian Parents can be in open communication with their dead children – which factually amounts to the spiritualistic (occult) practice of clairaudience. For back-ground on this see: http://www.spiritual-research-network.com/have_heart_bridging_the_gulf_steve_berger.html

This new video expose’ gives the background of this ATD event:

Berger has never retracted the concepts he advocated, but has gone into hosting ecumenical events at his CC affiliated church. Why Berger was never dis-affiliated or even corrected by the overseers at Calvary Chapel [CCOF/ CCA] is an open question. Now Berger has joined hands with some of the worst apostates, in his hosting of this NAR event.

The promotional page on the Grace Chapel website tells us: “We will gather together to worship & join in the story and vision for Awaken The Dawn, with David Bradshaw (Leader of Awaken The Dawn), Lou Engle (Leader of The Call), and Pastor Steve Berger.

Dallas Theological Seminary Gone Contemplative?

The ministry of EmergentWatch began as a means to alert Christians to the infiltration of false teachings coming into the churches, under the radar of most – coming into the bookstores right in their local churches. EW published a number of bookstore surveys, searching for materials by known false teachers. After being exposed, two churches surveyed slapped a copyright violation claim against two of EW’s video presentations, exposing Calvary Chapel of Downey and Rick Warren’s Saddleback church. Both videos were subsequently removed.

Two Christian Seminaries were also examined in late 2013. Fuller Theological (With predictably bad results; See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCbS3Mwo07A), and Dallas Theological. The latter returned some alarming results, as it is widely know as a bastion of conservative Christianity.

A recent article by Lighthouse Trails explains:

“Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) has always maintained that while they teach Spiritual Formation, they only teach the “good” kind and that they are not a school that promotes contemplative spirituality. Lighthouse Trails has always challenged these suppositions. In fact, it wasn’t that long ago when Lighthouse Trails editors had some correspondence with two different DTS faculty members (one a dean) who insisted that DTS was not promoting contemplative spirituality…”

See the complete article here: http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?p=23055

EmergentWatch did a Bookstore survey of the DTS online bookstore in November 2013, and published the results, showing hundreds of books and tapes by many known false teachers. Another survey was done on 7/21-22/2017, and shows that rather than the problem being corrected, it has gotten worse – and now includes authors such as Leonard Sweet, Henri Nouwen, Tony Campolo, Phyliss Tickle and other recognized heretical teachers. The bookstore survey is now in jpeg format.

The above results are of only a partial, and not a comprehensive survey – Yet, it certainly does appear that DTS, like so many other Christian institutions now, has been overrun with the spirit of this age.
