Hillsong Sponsoring Contemplative Alpha – Allows Catholic Mass at Conference

In what appears to be a one of the latest atrocities in the ecumenical war against God’s church, Hillsong churches are partnering with Alpha – a contemplative program that originated in the heretical Anglican Holy Trinity Brompton – the church that was the European home of the ‘Holy Laughter’ heresies.

The mega-ecumenical Alpha Conference 2018 in the U.S. was just held at Hillsong Phoenix on Feb. 8-9, and featured popular Catholic artist Matt Maher, the Hillsong Phoenix worship team, Eleanor Mumford of the Vinyard Int’l Executive, Catholic Bishop Eduardo Nevares, and former Willow Creek executive Craig Springer. > See their promo vid: https://vimeo.com/239912965

Photos of the event show Catholic clergy in full regalia holding up the Eucharist wafer and doing mass on the stage at Hillsong Phoenix.

Strange thing is, Hillsong Phoenix’s Facebook pages show no trace of the Alpha Conference. But, Hillsong LA’s social media page show the church is beginning the full Alpha course in the church starting Jan. 31st 2018. > See https://hillsong.com/la/alpha/

Apparently, unbeknownst to most, Hillsong has had an “Alpha Track” at many of their conferences since at least 2011. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9rOZNF1ams

How long Hillsong can maintain the facade of orthodoxy is anyone’s guess, but they are aided by endorsements like Greg Laurie’s and Brian Brodersen’s, who on KWVE radio @12/3/2015 said:

“I’m a big Hillsong fan… These guys are tremendous when it comes to worship. I might not agree with every fine point of theology, with the Hillsong movement, but that’s OK. We don’t have to agree with everybody on all the finer points of theology. They’re Christians, [NOTE] THEY’RE *ORTHODOX, they believe in the Gospel… I recently read Brian Houston’s book ‘Live, Love, Lead‘ – it’s a great book, inspiring – So, personally, I appreciate the contribution that Hillsong is making to the advancement of the Kingdom in this generation – I think it’s a good thing.”

Anyone familiar with Alpha’s links to contemplative mysticism knows this certainly is not a good thing. As a quick perusal of the Hillsong TV Channel will show – Hillsong is far from being orthodox, and is firmly in the ‘Word-Faith’ / ‘Kingdom Now’ camp. That they have now joined with Alpha takes their apostasy to a whole new level.

  1. It is apostasy compounded upon apostasy, and linked elbow endorsements left and right of heretics and heresies! Sadly… no surprise.

I just saw on the Christian post an article regarding the Newsboys and it’s all about their ecumenism, it reeks of the one world religion.

More of the march toward catholicism. And that’s the ultimate goal: All these supposed “evangelical” ministries are jesuit-ish attempts to soften people’s perceptions of catholicism, and get everyone happy with catholicism, and get them to forget that catholicism is a false gospel of works that leads to hell.

  3. Pingback: Hillsong goes full Roman Catholic.

  4. As a FORMER Catholic, biblically born again 33 yrs. ago, I am extremely burdened by Protestants and Evangelicals accepting Catholicism as a valid expression of Christianity. Though it began in earlier years, I’ve been watching this escalating ecumenism unfold since the 1990s with Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven and Emergent/Postmodern movements. Our Discerning the Drift Ministry local radio program continues to reveal the deception seeping into Christianity. Let’s keep sounding the alarm!!

  5. Jesus is Lord

This is all in preparation of the one world religion, one world government.. Get ready Christians! Jesus is going to return any minute now.

  6. What is really alarming is the fact that, even when given the evidence of the apostate artists; the leadership turns a blind eye to the worship leaders performing these songs in the Sunday morning worship. They don’t equate guilt by association or how self absorbing the worship really is. 1 Cor 8:4,10:14, Rom 14:14… just a few of many warnings. To an established believer, these songs may be permissible however; they should be in the confines of ones personal space or in a group of mature Christians. If we lead one astray to these beliefs because of our poor judgement..Get the millstone ready.

    1. Yes, too many leaders are more concerned about filling pews, and about their own livelihood, than about the protection of the sheep entrusted to them. I disagree that Hillsong music is OK for mature believers. Hillsong theology is Word-Faith and ‘Kingdom Now’ theology. A mature believer will understand that the worship music of a church will invariably reflect that church’s theology, (even if disguised) and will have nothing to do with that church or it’s fruits. God’s Word warns us: “Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.” – 2Jn. 1:9-11

  8. Revelation 18:4, pure and simple. RCC teaches baby baptism & good works salvation, grace thru the communion mass, prayers to Mary and the dead – if you stay in this monstrous facsimile of biblical Christianity you aren’t saved and never were (these are not small differences – RCC is heretical on every major doctrine.

Hillssong is just another form of false teachers not knowing the truth, false teachers who claim to b. e teachers of the gospel will face much more punishment than others. This is what the bible says the slpha is rubbish and joining the Catholic church well let them all find purgatory which is HELL they will find out there is no purgatory only HELL and plus there is not fire escape from HELL

  10. I completely disagree with Catholics not being saved. The word of God is clear, “If you believe you and your household will be saved” If a Catholic parishioner are fooled by fake teachers it does not take away from their being saved. “No one can snatch you out of the hand of God” “Once saved always saved.” All religion is tarnished by man but if you accept Jesus as your savior you are saved.

    1. The real issue isn’t whether one is “Catholic” or not; The issue is whether one is following and trusting in the one true savior, the biblical Christ Jesus – and not trusting in their own “goodness”, deeds, performance of rituals/ sacrifices or even in ANY church. “The church” doesn’t save anyone – Christ Jesus does. If you are trusting in ANYTHING other than the finished work of Christ on the Cross and in HIS righteousness ALONE, you are being deceived and most likely not saved. Don’t follow the Pope or any man – Follow God’s Word in the Bible.

The Bible tells us : Matt. 24:35 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”
John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
John 12:48 “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him – the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.”
